Many of you have already noticed some of the improvements and changes we’ve been busy implementing at the GROU.PS offices, but we’d like to call your attention to some recent developments.

In particular, important changes have been made to our Plans and Pricing – we don’t like to change these often, and took data and customer feedback regarding the GROU.PS user experience into account when making these decisions. We’re confident that these updates will improve our product for all users in both the short and long-term. This is what’s new:

• Membership Limit Updates: Gold plan networks are now limited to 1,000 members; Gold administrators may increase this limit by upgrading to the Platinum plan. The new membership limit for the Platinum plan is 10,000 members (no longer unlimited).Changes to the Free Plan: The Free plan is now a lite version of GROU.PS, and no longer features the Video or Photo modules. The GROU.PS Videos and Photos apps remain free and available in all of our paid subscription plans.
  
• Subgroups System Revision: We’ve remodeled our subgroup system, bringing you increased functionality to the groups on your network (such as subgroup privacy settings) and granting the ability to create 5 subgroups in Bronze and Silver networks, and 20 subgroups on the Gold and Platinum plans (Platinum admins may purchase further upgrades; see Upgrade Combo Package below).
  
• Custom domains/Changes to the Bronze Plan: Network administrators who choose to deploy their GROU.PS network on their own custom domain will no longer have access to this option on the Bronze plan, but will have to subscribe to Silver to use their own domain name. This change, though small, will help improve our product and platform for all of our users. There are also some exciting new services headed your way:

• Mobile apps coming to the Gold Plan: We’ve received a lot of great feedback about our mobile apps for Android, BlackBerry and iOS smartphones and tablets, and we’re pleased to announce that we’re rolling out the Mobile Apps functionality to Gold plan subscribers as well. Now, members of networks on the Gold Plan can also communicate and share on-the-go through the GROU.PS mobile apps. The Gold plan Mobile apps come with ads; those who need an ad-free mobile experience for their users should upgrade to the Platinum plan.
  
• Desktop application coming to Platinum: Our development team has been working on a new desktop application, which will be available soon to networks on the Platinum plan. Keep an eye out for more information on this in the coming days.
  
• New Upgrade Combo Package: We’ve streamlined the process of purchasing upgrades into a single value pack. If you’ve already subscribed to the Platinum plan but still need extended bandwidth, storage space, membership allotment, or subgroups, then you can purchase as many upgrade packages as you need for only $9.95 each per month. Packs are combinable, and include 5,000 extra membership spaces in your group, 20 more subgroups, 10GB of additional storage space and 100GB of additional monthly bandwidth.
